I can't hear any sound on my PS3 when streaming Quickflix

No audio while watching Quickflix on your PS3 is usually caused by incorrect audio settings on the PS3. To fix this problem, try these steps:

Confirm HDMI audio settings

  1. Exit the Quickflix application.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Navigate to Sound Settings.
  4. Choose Audio Output Settings.
  5. Choose HDMI, then Automatic.
  6. Press X to save the settings.
  7. Re-enter the Quickflix application and try playing again.

Configure audio settings manually on PS3

  1. Exit the Quickflix application.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Navigate to Sound Settings.
  4. Choose Audio Output Settings.
  5. Highlight the cable type you are currently using to connect your PS3 to your TV or home theatre system and press X.
    • If you have selected Audio Input Connector / SCART / AV MULTI, press X to save the settings.
      Re-enter the Quickflix application and try playing again.
    • If you have selected HDMI, choose 'Manual' and continue to the next step.
  6. Make sure Dolby Digital 5.1 Ch. is checked.
  7. Make sure Dolby Digital Plus is unchecked.
  8. Press the Right arrow.
  9. Press 'OK' if prompted.
  10. Press X to save the settings.
  11. Re-enter the Quickflix application and try playing again.
